ChirpPrivacy Policy
Last updated July 2026. The short version: we collect what we need to run Chirp, nothing we don't, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
To make Chirp work, we store your learning progress (streak, XP, completed lessons, league standing), a display name you choose, and — if you subscribe — your plan status. If you join our newsletter, we store your email. We use an anonymous per-browser identity so your progress follows you without requiring an account up front.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for your real name, phone number, or address to learn. We don't track you across other websites. In this reference build, no payment card details are ever collected — commerce runs in demo mode through the platform gateway.
How we use it
- To save and sync your progress across devices.
- To place you in a weekly league cohort.
- To send the reminders and newsletter you opted into (and to stop when they aren't helping).
- To understand, in aggregate, what helps people learn — never to identify you personally.
Your choices
You can change your display name any time in your profile, turn reminders off in Settings, unsubscribe from any email with one click, and reset your local progress from the app. To request deletion of stored data, contact us via the contact page.
Cookies & local storage
Chirp uses your browser's local storage to remember your progress and your visitor identity. That's essential to the product; we don't use advertising cookies.
Children
Chirp is intended for general audiences. If a child under the age required by your local law uses Chirp, a parent or guardian should manage the account.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app. Questions? Reach the team.
